Re: fuel draining
Wow that's interesting! I wonder if my Rochester Monojet (in carb filter) would do the same thing if I left out the filter?
So many great things to learn on this site! And I hope you get this issue taken care of man. |

Re: fuel draining
The mechanical fuel pump is suppose to have a diaphragm to keep it from going back past the pump also.

Re: fuel draining
Also would help to know what carb you have.
If it's a quadrajet it may have well plugs leaking. Common problem on them and you need to dismantle to epoxy them. You can google quadrajet well plugs leaking for tons of info. Here's some info on a different fix. http://quadrajetparts.com/rochester-...h-t-12_21.html

Re: fuel draining
I've got the same problem with two Edelbrocks...I've replaced the fuel pumps. no change in the symptoms. If my CST or my C20 sits for more than a couple of days, I have to crank them a little bit, pump the heck out of the pedal and hope they start....I've been told that this is somewhat common with Edelbrock carbs...:crazy
