I already have my registration form printed out. Cruisin' the Coast 2004. I will be ready and so will the truck. I don't think I have to worry about any flat cams this time. I am ready to go already. The color is called Tropical Peach. I only like it in natural light. Under flourescent lights in the shop it looks pink. I don't know how many customers ask me, "Who's PINK truck is that??". Naturally, my response is "It is not pink!". Oh well, you should see it in the flesh in October, Palf. Looking forward to meeting up somewhere down there. Later, FCG

Umm with the flat cam problem did you break them in ? Just wondering.

I found out why not only one but two cams went flat after normal break procedures. I sold the engine to a buddy of mine and he has decided to rebuild it again. When they were disassembling the engine, they found a rod bolt that was only finger-tight. I knew I should have checked EVERYTHING before I buttoned it up. The loose bolt was letting oil past the bearings and starving the cam for oil. Therefore, premature cam failure. If you ever have an engine rebuilt, check everything. One over looked rod bolt cost me into the thousands of dollars. I guess I'll have to chalk that up to experience. Later, FCG

I did a double take on your engine mounts...looks like you are using the stock LT1 towers.

Do I see an engine driven compressor for the bags...

The motor mounts are regular run of the mill Chevy mounts with the steel strap that is integrated to the mount. The steel strap keeps the engine from pulling up during acceleration in the event of a broken mount. The part number is DOAN 2283. I used 2" x 1/4" strap, welded to the frame in a triangulated fashion, for the frame mounts. Yes, that is a York compressor for the air ride. No more waiting.
