Has anyone done a Tremec swap with a big block? Pics?

Geeze Tom, I go from trying to buy a big block fan shroud off you to seeing what your Tremec swap looks like! LOL
Basically I want to see where your shifter is and if you have headers, how your clutch linkage sits. My truck currently has a small block in it with a Muncie M21. The problem is that I think I might have to move the motor mounts to the forward position to clear the firewall with the valve covers on the 454 and I don't know what that will do to the clutch linkage and the headers. I also want to swap out the original bell housing with the mounts to a traditional aluminum one without the mounts |

One more...
Oh... also, the engine is in the stock position. I used tall fabricated valve covers that I trimmed alittle on the drivers side to clear the firewall. Last edited by Tom Vogel; 08-14-2013 at 08:40 AM. |

I have, but I used a McLeod hydraulic throwout bearing, so header clearance wasn't an issue.
