Watch for the return of Powell72
Chris just bought a 67 C-10 short bed so he's back in the game.

Re: Watch for the return of Powell72
Glad to here it,dad. He deserves to always have one. Or,maybe it's the other way around cuz he does nice things to these nice trucks. Do you still have your Task Master Stepside (forget the year/hope I got the right style)

Re: Watch for the return of Powell72
I will be back here on a regular basis Keith. I'm on my way home from Bonneville now, I found the truck and had to have my dad get it for me, I was too busy getting ready for vacation to look at it. So I haven't even seen my new truck in person yet! My dad will post a pic later, it'll probably be Thursday before I can get to Denver to get it.

Re: Watch for the return of Powell72
Okay guys, sorry for not updating this quickly. So long story short, over the past three years I went through a divorce, had to sell my house and move twice. I ended up living somewhere I couldn't keep my '72 inside, and I needed to pay off some debt, so I had to sell her. I'm finally in a stable living situation with room for a project, so naturally I needed another 67-72 shorty. I found this truck on Craigslist and scooped it up for $2900. It's a 71 or 72 GMC short bed someone put a 67 Custom cab and front clip on. So right off the bat I'm already 5-lug and disc brakes. It's a 250 inliner with a T-5 5-speed and posi rear. This is the only pic I have so far, we had to trailer it since the generator light was one. I'll get more pics as soon as I can.

Re: Watch for the return of Powell72
Yes! I'm thinking I'm going to stick with the 6 for a while also. I haven't messed with one so it'll be something new for me. I'm going to work on it tomorrow so I'll get more pics then.

Re: Watch for the return of Powell72
I'm liking it already. In the picture it's not obvious it's been altered. Looks "as is/was". I can't wait to see what steering wheel you use

Re: Watch for the return of Powell72
That sounds exactly like what I'm doing with my "new" '68. This 6 banger runs so that I'm going to everything else first, and then address the engine later. I bet the 6 and that T-5 would be a pretty good combo.
