Re: TH350 to 700r4 swap
There are no cons outside of the cost in the swap. What gear ratio is your rearend? Overdrive equals better fuel mileage and happier driver. 700r4 has a wicked 1st gear too. But you are looking at a couple grand in the swap and that is getting a good rebuild trans.

Re: TH350 to 700r4 swap
I love mine...been running it for 11 years.
Only con I know of is that you can't scare people when you pass them on the highway with your screaming exhaust...unless you pull it down into third when you go by.

Re: TH350 to 700r4 swap
I'm in the middle of this same update. I'm dropping in a new 350 ZZ4 crate motor and a GM certified 700r4 out of a 90 Corvette. There are much cheaper ways to do this, but I want it done and forget about it.

Re: TH350 to 700r4 swap
The 3.73 and 700R4 is a great combo. Just dont go alot shorter than a 28" tire. Then the RPMs start creeping back up on ya.
