Re: 70' gmc swb "texas touch"
I will be doing the same, just no red carpet or red buckets. I might have mine buckets redone with black suround with red/blk houndstooth?? I missed buying that truck when it was for sale by a couple of hours....one of my favorites too!!

Re: 70' gmc swb "texas touch"
I think black seats w/red & blk houndstooth would look awesome. Also Superflysteiny's 'Pops 72 build' is another awesome black truck w/red guts.

Re: 70' gmc swb "texas touch"
Today was mostly gutting the interior. Got the dealer under dash installed A/C unit out!!!! I will be going through in in the next couple of weeks. Look at the box cardboard gaskets used as spacers behind the 8-track player!! I should have the dash dismantled this weekend. Check out the pic of the roof after the headliner was removed....SHINE!!
Took the same shot when I did the 72' Hugger!!

Looking good so far. Love where you are taking this. I think the black/red houndstooth would look killer as well.

Re: 70' gmc swb "texas touch"
Adding a little red "Touch" this weekend!! I must say "It looks awsome"....I got my rebuilt seatbelts and vent windows from Cheyenne Super-Man last week, they look brand new. Painter has replacement fender cups...he hopes to be done in a couple of weeks. Enjoy the pics!!
As I work on this truck I hear my Grandfather voice..."anything worth doing, is worth doing right the first time"......

What did you decide on seat covers and door panels? Fender cups, eh? What are your plans for the exterior paint? Posted via Mobile Device

Still thinking about seat covers.....Bright Red door panels should be here tomorrow. Painter is taking all work down to the metal, front fender cups were bad. Going with what CC69rat (Chad), painted the inside of the bed....Tuxedo black.

Yes.
Red will be so nice. Are you using a wood grain instrument panel also? Posted via Mobile Device
