steering column question......help

does anyone see a problem with putting an Automatic tilt steering column in a truck originally equipped with a 3 on the tree non tilting? It is already converted to a floor shifter so the column shifter is no longer needed. Long term I will be switching from a manual to automatic but not right now and would like to have the tilt feature.

edit: posted in wrong section, please move

Thanks for the response. I was thinking the same thing. Just wanted some assurance from someone with more experience than I.
