Another one bites the dust
This poor old girl got caught up in the fire we had here a couple of weeks ago. This from the front page of the local paper. Musta been a 71 or 72, from the total melt down of the grill. Sad day.

That's too bad. Did the fire effect you at all? Hope you're doing well

Re: Another one bites the dust
Huh, that looks like it was near Rockport reservoir. We lived in Park City and Heber for a few years; worked on the mountain at Park City a million years ago, when there was no Rockport, and a two lane highway to Park CIty from Heber. Weren't any stoplights in Heber City either. We would have stayed but wasn't much opportunity at the time. The winters got old, too, even though I skied a lot.

Re: Another one bites the dust
They say when one door closes, another door opens. Yes, it's sad to see a once beautiful truck burnt to a crisp, but if the body is still in decent shape (being in Utah, it probably is) it would still make a decent "rat rod" project. Go wild! Stick a 500 cid Cadillac engine in there, custom interior, new wiring and glass and it's good to go! Personally, I think the burnt metal look would be kind of cool.
Just trying to give a sad occasion a positive twist!

And there is still no stoplights in Coalville Everyone came through alright, although one of my kids had a few sleepless nights. He lives right below the dam and was on like 5 minutes notice to be gone if the wind changed.
