Stainless Steel Bumpers
Anyone know a source for stainless steel bumpers. I need to replace the painted ones on my '57.
Thanks, Ron Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: Stainless Steel Bumpers
Stainless? Lordy, that would be one pricey bumper. Maybe you mean chrome?

Re: Stainless Steel Bumpers
Nope, I mean stainless. I'm not a big fan of the shiny shiny chrome look. Easier to maintain also. A cheap chrome bumper just doesn't hold up well unless you like polishing a lot. I guess I could also have one powder coated to look like stainless. My current front is painted to match the body which is a little pro street for my liking.

Re: Stainless Steel Bumpers
Classic Parts of America sells them for $399 each.

Re: Stainless Steel Bumpers
The Stainless bumpers Classic parts of America has are for AD trucks not Task force trucks. I'm not finding any stainless bumpers for Task Force trucks in my search.

That's what I've been finding also. Haven't found anything.

Re: Stainless Steel Bumpers
Maybe consider a steel bumper painted or powder coated to look like "chrome". It would be easier to replicate and won't cost you an arm or a leg (or both).

Since I haven't had any luck finding stainless, I will be powder coating. Same type of finish as on whatever wheels I decide on. |
