9th annual route66 carshow, flagstaff, AZ

hi guy, my brothers and I went to the route 66 car show in Flagstaff, AZ this weekend. It was a 3 day event with over 450 cars registered. We could only spend a few hours there on Saturday, so I focused on just Chevy trucks that I know you guys would be interested in. So without further ado.....

one of my favorites that was full custom. I love how they made a newer bed look like it belonged there...

OK, here is one of my favorites that is totally original. I had a chance to meet the owner... Larry becker. This is a 1950 3100 that belonged to Larry's grandfather. Ya, almost as close to the original owner as you can get. larry was a cool guy, I told him about this club, hope he finds his way here. This was larry's first car show. He came all the way from Colorado.

The only mods that I could find were the front bumper guards and Larry converted it to 12v.... maybe how the tailgate is painted. a few more of Larry's ride....

Nice pix, Thanks.
We were in Flagstaff last year.
Is the show always near the same time of year / date?

Re: 9th annual route66 carshow, flagstaff, AZ

yes, I think it is always the first week in September, but I am not sure. This was my first time going to it. It was a beautiful day, sunny in the morning, then it had short showers later in the day. I really wanted to drive my truck to it, but it was raining in the Phoenix area that morning (Flagstaff is about 150 miles north of Phoenix, up in the pines), so I didn't want to drive my truck in the rain (no wipers yet). Maybe next year

Yep, its always in September. Another awesome show/run to go to is the Seligman fun run. Goes from Seligman Az, to Kingman Az on Route 66. Its always the beginning of May.
