Im trying to figure out which model edelbrock intake I can run I know the other models cut off at 1986 I believe, I think this is the next style, requires a different style intake Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: engine decoding help
The heads are what makes a difference with the intake application. So,just be sure what heads you have..probably Vortec by the sound of things

Re: engine decoding help
Is there a VIN on the pad?
4 bolt Vortecs would be from 1 ton trucks. I have one. It has a steel crankshaft also.

Re: engine decoding help
Well my mechanic pulled the intake.......
No roller cam :-( I can swap in my comp cam/ lifters I had layin around The good news, opened it up inspected things, the motor looks close to new, he said hed be surprised if it has 5, 000 miles So if its a crate motor it wasnt in the car long before it got wrecked Posted via Mobile Device Last edited by draggin49; 09-11-2013 at 09:27 PM. |
