Talking "Gangreen" the 1979 K20 Scottsdale

Hey all, as I said in my thread I'm new here and just recently got this truck. Here's what I know so far.

1979 Chevy K20 Scottsdale
6.6L 400 small block
TH350 trans
NP203 t-case
14 Bolt Full Floater rear
D44 or 12 bolt front (not sure which yet, haven't really looked)
New Courser 9.50-16.5 tires on stock wheels (off for now)
Body is normal for its age and being from the Midwest
Original interior (in great shape) with AC (doesn't work, is getting removed)
Wood floor in the box (rare for 79 3/4 ton????)
DMI spring cushion hitch

Things that need fixed:
Gas tanks (passenger side doesn't work and both leak)
Drivers side window doesn't work (removed and waiting for new mechanism)
Speedometer doesn't work (haven't diagnosed it yet)
Battery needs replaced (still starts but lights are WAY brighter than they should be with brand new stock size alternator)
Body work
Transmission vacuum modulator (sucks tranny fluid)

Now for the pics. These are from when I got it.

More later, back to work I go.

Re: "Gangreen" the 1979 K20 Scottsdale

Thursday night I mounted my Hustler CB antennas. Friday I wire wheeled the bumper down to bare metal and painted it with some left over aluminum paint and while in a painting mood, I painted the hitch and diff cover with some green left over from my Ranger I used to have.

And then on Saturday, I picked up a Sport Shield and unbroken 80 grille at the junkyard for a whopping $10!!! The shield needs cut down some for the look I'm after but I'm getting there slowly. Any and all input is welcome.
