99 gmc z71
What is the largest size all terrain tire I can put on this truck without a lift kit...
has brand new 235 75/16 now and I think they are to small in appearance as well as function. I think my speedo is off

245 75 are the stock tire. you can go to a 285 75 on the stock 16 wheel with no problem. they work out to about a 33 in. 245 are about 30.6 inch. anything more than a 33 probaby wont clear with out some form of lift.

I agree with fxdxharley, I run a 265 75 16 and there is room for 285s, but it is starting to get cramped in that fender. If you did install 285s and they rubbed you could give the torsion bars a couple of turns to get a little more room, but i dont think it will be a problem.
