It's finally running again!!
I'm finally back on the road and wanted to share!
I added a few little things to my 307 motor, and it runs great! Here's what I added: Edelbrock Performer Carb 500cfm (#1404, manual choke), Performer intake manifold (#2101), Engine Works Cam (#135280H) with 214/214 @ .050 duration and .443/.443 lift, HEI Distributor (new, for stock 1975 350) new plug wires, R46SZ plugs gapped at .045, short water pump, new fan clutch to fit the new water pump, new water pump pulley (two groove), Alan Grove Alternator bracket (#213L - ALT.), new crank pulleys (three groove – and special spacers for the press-on balancer), new detent cable, new Edelbrock Elite air cleaner and several bits of chrome… cuz I like it :p ALOHA!! to you all, it would have been very hard to complete without this board and it's great members.

I would if i could but I can't so I wont'
1971 Cheyenne 10 355 462 camel hump heads ported and polished milled .010 Energizer cam #100042 266 adv duration 440 lift Performer intake Stock q/jet It made 218 hp and 285 ft/lbs of torque on an engine dyno at over 5,000 ft of altitude My auto teacher was running the dyno and didn't know you could input weather readings directly into the computer without the optional weather station so my power readings are low by what we have guessed at probably 50 hp and 50ft/lbs. The old girl is probably pushing 275-300 horse and 350ft/lbs. I really wish I could have taken some pics of the build but I didn't think about it. I was too stressed trying to get it done and get my truck back. She runs like a beauty though. One tip for anyone going to rebuild an engine, take your time and don't try to rush anything. |
