Best Park: Re-Assemble!! Disc/20's Pictures
Justfinished painting nearly the whole frame!
Only part I wasn't able to paint was the top of the frame: under the Cab. The Cab was the only section I left attached to the frame. Re-ASSEMBLE time has began!!! :-] Rear axle swap: 69 to a newer 93 half ton. Only fabricating needed was to replace old/custom fit new "perches" for the springs to set on at an Angle where the 93 perches didn't. :-\ But we got er' done! |

Looks good!!
Hope you don't need to do it twice. Are you lowering the truck too? Did you copy the pinion angle from the old rearend? |

And the lowering end of the subject: Will level it out basically all due to the size of the wheels and tires. We posted them under the truck with the rear springs out and front end and took a look for an idea of lowering and man....it won't take a lot just because of the size of the wheels. lol |

Re: Best Park: Re-Assemble!! Disc/20's Pictures
THe reason I asked was that the normal procedure is to bolt the rearend in with the axle perches loose, all the weight of the suspension and the body on, sitting on your wheels and tires just like it will be when you're fully assembled. THen you set your pinion angle, check all your measurements and tack weld the perches to the axle, tear it apart and finish weld the perches.
You might get lucky! It might be perfect! Just remember to check your pinion angle after it's all togethor. |
