WTB 3.73 rear end for 71-72
Looking for a nice 3.73 coil spring rear end for a 71-72 half ton. Doesn't need to be a posi, but does need to be fairly clean, don't want to have to replace the brackets on it. Also only looking for local, with in the KC area.

Anybody reasonably close have anything? I would probably take any gear at this point. Also brakes are not important.

Hey man are you looking for the whole 3rd member? drum to drum?
I think I have a differential for a 3:73 but just the unit and spiders, no ring or pinion etc. Did you check with Joe R. up in Independence? He has a lot of things. Tim |

Re: WTB 3.73 rear end for 71-72
I need a whole rear end, drum to drum, but since I'm putting discs on it I don't really need the drums. Lol! I've known joe forever, he doesn't have anything. We were talking the other day how it used to be you couldn't give away a 3:73 rear end since everybody wanted 3:07s, now they aren't anywhere to be found. BTW, the blazer I need it for used to be Joe's, I'm making it a 2wd.

Re: WTB 3.73 rear end for 71-72
ls1, I've got a rear end you might be interested in.. It's my spare but, I might part with it for the right price. 69-70 coil sprung rear with a posi carrier in it. Has brand new Richmond 3:73 gears in it that were installed 3,000 miles ago. But, still has the 6 lug axle shafts. Everything but the brakes were gone through 3,000 miles ago when the ring and pinion were put in..

Re: WTB 3.73 rear end for 71-72
So I took my 3:07 out of my short bed frame and had it rebuilt with a 3:73 posi, so I'm good to go on my current project. Still need another one to put back under the SB frame. Just needs to be 71-2 and 3:73 gear, non posi is fine.

Does the guy in Lenexa have one? Also, look on C-list in Ark City, KS. A guy is selling a TON of stuff. Does Teeitup have one?
