Any one know of coversion, other then the $100. points eliminating kit, for a in straight six cyl? Are there any later model distributor that fit and convert to hei?

In a word yes. There were inline 6's produced from the mid 70's onward that have the 6 cylinder version of the HEI.

I got one last summer for my truck but have yet to install it. I need to pick up some compatible plug wires first.
