Re: how do I delete post?

You cant delete a post. You can modify it while its fresh, but thats it. If there is a post that needs attention let me know and I will review it.

Re: how do I delete post?

Not to be contrary, but I do believe you can delete a post using the edit function…
I will add a post that says "TEST" then attempt to delete...

Re: how do I delete post?

After posting the TEST reply, I went back and clicked the EDIT button just to the left of the QUOTE button and went to the following screen…
As far as I know, only the posting member sees the EDIT button on his screen...

Here is a screenshot…

I typed in "Just a test" in the "REASON FOR DELETION" box, then clicked the "DELETE THIS MESSAGE" button…

I've used this to delete posts in the past, and thought I would pass along that knowledge.

Re: how do I delete post?

Sorry for the huge pic, I thought Imageshack would resize it as requested through the Imageshack upload page, but apparently there are times it doesn't resize as it is supposed to.

Re: how do I delete post?

According to forum rules as far as I remember you only have 30 minutes to delete. After that you have to contact administration and they will delete it for you.

Re: how do I delete post?

Thanks TJ, I knew I was able to delete, but I was unaware of the 30 min rule...

Yeah, I had forgotten about that to until I posted awhile back on a different thread and awhile later re-read my post and found out I had spelled some words wrong...and the delete option was gone.
