So I got the pan installed, driveshafts in. Tonight I worked on my exhaust. Now normally I consider myself a poor welder. Its not much better the pigeon poop. but the welding forces were with me tonight, I laid some of the best welds I have done in my life. Now to bad I spent an hour looking for my 02 bungs and never could find them to weld in place. *sigh* I'm sure I put them some place convenient cause I knew I needed them soon. Anyway, left side is done n up. Right just needs that and its done.

One wire left to hook up and that's the battery. Going to grab lunch, then try to put some life into it.

It starts, but my shifter linkage is completely ass backwards. It was trying to drive out the garage on its own.

ok, I thought it would be a 30min quick fix on the shifter. After 5hrs, a trip to lowes, a trip to a friends house to use a drill press. Everything I had before got removed, and all different stuff installed.

Modified the 4l60e shifter lever with my th350 z arm, bent new shift rod. I think it works. Its not even above freezing here, with sleet on the way. So no starting or test driving. yes I'm a panzy on cold weather.

It moves on its own power, shifter selector is working. However, its not shifting into 2,3,4. I'm wondering if my speed generator is wrong ppm?

Guess I need to get a 40 pulse per revolution sensor vs 8000 pulse per mile. So 40 bux wasted on that part.

Got 40ppr sensor in. Does not shift. Brake switch adjusted wrong. Fixed. Still not shifting.

Ok, so I finished looming the wire, and a hooking up my aftermarket accessorys. Installed wiper cowl, hood, swaybar. Its all buttoned up. Around the neighborhood it runs damn good. Takes off much better. Truck rocks when you romp on it sitting still (didn't do that before). Its much quieter to my amazement. Same exhaust setup

I've ordered the correct speed sensor kit to go between the transcase and transmission. It wont ship tell the 1st of the year. *rolls eyes*. About the time it will show, my job is sending me out of town for some work. Who knows how long that will take.

Due to job sending me out of town, I had to order tires for my daily. Which I didn't like the rims I had, so Ive ordered rims, and will get tires when they show up. That was a HUGE chunk of change I didn't plan to spend for a few months. Plus also during insurance month. I hope I don't have to give blood this month cause there is none left!!

Ive sold more parts from my parts truck. Infact, other then the rims, i'm almost willing to junk whats left. But I'm going to try for every bit I can get.

Spent today attempting to install speed sensor. Not overly happy with this setup. I'm going to have to take my power adapter sleeve and have it milled down. I have that above reluctor ring as far as I dare take it forward to the inside of the case. I'm still 1/8" short in space.

So, didn't find a machine shop today. But what I did figure out is that the location of 1.27 from the end of the transmission is WRONG for a 4x4. It says nothing about this in the instructions. It needs to be more like 1.50 from the end. So what has happened is the steel 205 adapter has crushed the aluminum sleeve they provided, and cracked the brass nut that came with it. Ive contacted them to see if I can get just these 2 parts and informed them off the poor location information.

After no response back from AA. I spent yesterday hammering and chasing threads, hunting for proper treaded nut, etc. Plus notching my adapter.

Today, I finally got it together and got it up to 40mph on its own shifting. So its working and driving properly.

Time to take a small brake on this. Work on my daily. Plus work on a few others cars that have been asking me to work on.

Due to being able to drive in 1st, I had gotten some of the bugs worked out like leaky power steering line, few loose bolts.

What I am noticing is that it holds first more then I would like, but shifts into OD sooner then I would like. I am thinking its getting the wrong speed due to tire size, and maybe axle ratio. Ive seen threads on how to modify the VSSB box. I will look into that while working on other projects.

Ok, so did find a few things.

1. swaybar either needs to come off, or I need to get rid of these quick connect links and put in normal bolts. These must be designed for trucks that are lifted properly, not rigged with blocks like mine.

2. One of my exhaust is loose, or has a leak.

3. My mechanical speed is WAY off. More then I remember it being.
