GMC Grill InterChange Question ?

I am building a 71 K-10 I picked up this summer, pulled the front clip, cab and bed yesterday. The core support is shot, so I am thinking about converting it to a GMC, will a 68 GMC grill mount onto a 71 GMC core support ? Thanks Guys

I have never done exactly what you asked but i did do a body off resto on a 71 gmc (my profile pic) and my understanding is all gmc core supports are the same.

Thanks for your input, My concern is with the difference in the 67-68 core and the 69-72 core ? I have a perfect 71 GMC core and a good 68 GMC grill, was planning on marrying the two. I know the early GMC cores are different then the later ones . Any help would be great ! Thanks guys

GMC Pauls has 67-68 and 69-72 supports. The only difference I can think of is the 67-68's have mounting holes for the splash pan, which 69-72;s don't use.

Thanks Guy's I knew about the early splash pan not being used on the later ones, just not sure if the grills are different ? I want to use a 68 painted grill on a 71 core,fenders and hood.
