Here's an easy one.

I have a 71 pickup that doesn't have A/C. What size hose runs from the heater box to the defrost vents? I am trying to order some cheap hose from JC Whitney, but not sure on the exact size. Looks like it may be 2", but not sure. Anyone know for sure?

Just bought some of both sizes for my bother-law--2" & 2 1/4". You can get it at a parts store--comes in 6' lengths. His has AC so you will need the 2".

I just fixed mine. 2 3/4" hose. O'reilly's has it for $4 a foot. Or you can do what I did and go to Wally world and get 10' of 3" RV sewer hose for $4 and get some clamps. You just have to tighten the pi$$ out of the clamps (I actually used zip ties). Mine works fine and the hose is black so you have to look close to tell the difference.

LOL - Ok - one says 2" and one says 2 3/4" - anyone else care to vote? I guess I should go measure it, but if anyone else thinks they know throw it on here.

My truck has A/c so it may be different, but since it's only been 3 DAYS since I replaced it I am pretty sure of what I used! The only 2" on mine is the center vent hose.

Just take one of your defroster vent things in the top of the dash out, and take it to NAPA. Tell them you need so many feet of whatever size defroster fits this vent. I am pretty sure mine is 2 1/2" hose, I used about three feet. I didn't need clamps even, it is nice and tight, and only cost a couple bucks. Good luck.
