Fact is,that appears to be a very nice truck that you couldn't buy and restore for the asking price...unless it was damn nice to start with and bought cheap. The seller is obviously a "flipper" and has his used car salesman line of crap,yet no real knowledge of the truck's history or what was or wasn't done (the important stuff). I wouldn't take his $1,000 wiggle room comment as the final word. If you like everything about it and want to buy it,I'd tell him $12k is my top dollar. From what I've seen,the asking price isn't top dollar. It's in the general $15k range that you see restored trucks go for all over the place. We see them going for $10k more,and that's top dollar. One thing's for sure,this truck would have cost significantly less had it been bought out of Eastern Washington state from the previous owner. You'll never get your best deal from a flipper...especially after transport costs across the nation. I agree that,for no matter what the price,a seller that doesn't disclose honest info is a turn off. I walk away once I hear BS because you never know where it starts or ends. All it takes is one white lie and I'm outta there...unless it's something so cheap their BS doesn't matter.

I think the price is a little high, especially for a non AC GMC. From the pics, despite the details that many have pointed out, it looks stunningly gorgeous. Gosh, 2 tone GMC, red/white, LWB and those 4 beautiful headlights...it doesn't get much better than that. I love the white walls, too.

I just received the inspection report and there are 3 things that bother me.
- No headliner - shouldn't a Grand Sierra have a headliner?
- A tear in the dash - Can that be replaced?
- There is a photo of what looks like a rusted out fender bottom. I'll post it later.

If I decide to make an offer on the truck I'm going in at $13,500.

About 2/3 of the way into the photo pages is a page with a couple shots of the underside. The upper left photo shows what I think is the bottom of a the left front fender, and it looks like someone painted over rotted out metal.
Is that what you see?

That report link did not work for me. My critique is that the truck is not a legit. If a Sierra Grande is what you really want, then I'd wait for something that's correct.
Looks like you are new to the board as well (WELCOME!)... and great trucks (more reasonably priced) always show up on the for-sale section.

It doesn't work for me either. They have it pretty well locked down. I can't even pull the photos out of the PDF file. That doesn't mean I'm giving up, though!!!!!

I agree that there is something fishy with the truck. No cargo light and no headliner so at least the cab probably is not from a Sierra Grande, so it's possibly been cobbled together or cloned.

I'm not really looking for a Sierra Grande but if I'm paying a premium for one it needs to be what it's supposed to be.

Since the truck needs AC (I live in Houston), a new dash pad, headliner, cargo light, and some paint work on the tailgate, plus the fact that I just have an uneasy feeling about the restoraton, I offered the seller quite a bit less than what he's asking. I'm pretty sure we're too far apart to work out a deal.

Sorry to revive a thread that is almost two years old but I moved to Spokane last year and after getting settled in I'm again looking for a 67-72 restored C10 or GMC half ton.
I'll place a "wanted" ad in the classified section but am curious if anyone is familiar with this truck for sale in Eugene.
