Vin Tags
Hello . Does any one know why some 67-72's have the long description vin tags with the front and rear GVWR and 4 rivets and others have the short tag with the vin # and Chevrolet motors with 2 rivets . they have a DD on them , We have a bunch of 67-72,s and only one has the small tag. Thank,s for your help . Jim

Wasn't the short tag a 67 or 68 thing maybe?

Early trucks had the small 2rivet tag. Not sure which year they went to the 4 rivet larger tags.

my 70 has a large 4 rivet tag...my 69 parts truck had 2 small 2 rivet tags
