Steel bed floor to wood bed floor???

Is it a simple unbolting of the steel floor and installing a kit wood floor? Anybody done this. If so can you let me know if there are any tricks that you know of, or problems you encountered? It is a short fleetside bed. Does anyone sell a new steel repop???Thanks!

Nope. Starting in the front the panel needs to be changed or modified. Mar-K offers a part to change it over instead of the entire panel replacement. Next all cross sills and the rear sill need to be changed. The wood sills are lower than the steel to accomadate the extra thickness of the wood. It's not a difficult swap, everything is bolt in and readily available.
