Hey New Guys ....
We seem to be getting a bunch of new blood round here and we love it!
BUT (there is always a but lol) some of you guys are used to other car and truck boards where the language, attitudes, pics, etc etc are like "Hey, we are men and we do and say whatever we want, and if you don't like it we are gonna give you an internet beat down" Guess what? This is a family friendly board, and we like it that way. I like it when my grand daughters or grand son can come sit on my lap and say "What are you looking at grandpa?" and I can show em without fear of having to edit anything. And for the new buyers and sellers. You can buy without being a subscribing member, but you cant post a WTB or a for sale add without. Its a rule for a reason. You agree to these simple things when you sign on ... did you read the rules? Just tone it down a little if you are used to things being done differently, I really think you will like the laid back, friendly, easy going attitudes around here ... and welcome aboard!

Re: Hey New Guys ....
Agreed. This is my favourite place to hang out. I belong to a bunch of other boards but this one is by far the best. It's members that make it this way.

Hanging out with Ford guys is like sleeping with dogs - you're gonna get fleas!

Re: Hey New Guys ....
I'm on one of those... DON'T EVER, AND I MEAN EVER put a chevy block in a firebird OR put a "Camaro" spoiler on a 67-68 'bird. Holy crap people go crazy over that! My bird has a poncho 400 and will not have a spoiler, but I don't care if other's do.

I must have missed a thread or two... or they were edited. I can relate to animosity on other forums though. You can get cut up pretty quick...

Re: Hey New Guys ....
If I didn't already have the motor and all the accessories (even have power steeering!) I would too. All that pontiac stuff adds up crazy fast.

Re: Hey New Guys ....
I'm glad someone stepped in!!!! I've noticed in the past week a couple of "new" members that seem like they have an attitude and smarta** remarks, plus the language is uncalled for. This is a great site so lets keep it that way....
Thanks, Jason

Re: Hey New Guys ....
Well said Mark. Ordinarily new folks settle in once they realize the nature of this forum and soon begin to follow others posting behaviors. Due to the popularity of this website our volunteer staff is out numbered in a huge way. The best way to curb questionable posts is to report them so they can be reviewed and handled accordingly.

I must have been fortunate enough not to see any "questionable" posts. I love this site and was fortunate enough to find a Senior member that lives close to me that has helped more than I could ever have imagined. Thanks so much Jim Kemp!

Re: Hey New Guys ....
Thanks guys for the support. I'm not down on any particular people, its something I noticed and its just nice to be able to post stuff that might be an odd question in some way or another and not get slammed by it.
There are lively debates here all the time without anyone getting nasty over it. Such as, should I cut my dash for a radio LOL. Looking forward to another good year here on the board ... Hopefully we will actually work on the panel and Ill get some pictures posted. Gotta get that 62 Ford Unibody with the Chevy drive train and the Mopar suspension real reliable first. Now that would get some panties in a bunch on other forums .... LOL. Happy New Year Everyone!!!
