Today a casualty happend to my truck While I was getting back into the truck this afternoon from lunch and going to roll my window up the knob on the window handle poped out in my hand Is there a way to repair these? Mine looks liek it had been truning hard on the metal. I see worn grooves in the knob bar that goes threw the actual handle. any way to fix this other then buying a new one?

the black knob on the window crank its self ? or the deal that is in the door ? If it is the black knob on the window handle just buy a new one, or got to the junk yard and find one used !

I think you coud take the handel of and run a screw in from the back side. If not you could drill through it and bolt it on. We used to just put a nut and bolt on it back in the day.

They have those little knobs at any auto parts store it's in a "help" package. They are really cheap, I had to get one once. It wasn't more than 2 bucks.

i agree with hotrod70c10. you'll end up spending WAY more than $2 in aggravation with the old knob. they're in the 'help' section at Advance Auto Parts.

I think i paid 6 bucks for my "help" window crank. They look exactly the same anyway. I'd just buy the new one

I agree...buy a new crank. Only six bucks and they seem to break pretty often.

Visit your friendly local junkyard, and get one in better shape out of a chevy or gmc van. The aftermarket ones (and even the $25 gm liscensed ones ) kind of suck.
