Barrett-Jackson 2014 Lot #53 - 1972 CHEVROLET C-10

I was thumbing thru the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale 2014 car list and saw these and thought I would share them with y'all. I like em' & wonder what they will sell for come auction time. It will be interesting to see how the trucks will do at Barrett-Jackson this year.

I am actually going to Barrett-Jackson in Scottsdale while there on other business. I'm going Friday night I think, maybe Saturday too. I'll look for these.

My guess is that they will all go early in the auction and if they follow the past types of vehicles, they will go for around $7,500 to $20,000 range. The auctioneers run this level of vehicle quality through to get the early days filled up so that they can go into Saturday (their real money day) with a full head of steam.

Barrett is one of the biggest scams going. Great for buyers bad for sellers. I have watched them several times drop the hammer on cars that were not finished because one of there chorines that spends a few million with them wants a car. They are a joke

...yeah, thats about why I'm figuring too.....$7500+ for the orange one and low-mid teens on the 2 'shorties'.

It will be interesting to see how the results compare.

All Good

If someone here wanted to buy one for me you could choose the one you like best of the 3 and it would be alright with me.

I like the red one the best. Four speed and four wheel drive. That one is sweet.

Re: Barrett-Jackson 2014 Lot #53 - 1972 CHEVROLET C-10

I am like others on here about having mixed reviews about Barrett-Jackson. Years ago, before it became too big for its britches it was entertaining to watch, but now with all the celebrities jumping on the band-wagon and other non-mentioning issues its just not like it use to be - it's a lot of hype & greed that has stolen the show. Don't get me wrong, I still like watching the cars & truck go across the block & the $$$ they bring & realize that most of those cars/trucks will never get driven on the street (trailer queens). And if you can get past all the dang commercials every 15mins & miss half the cars that you would like to see but forced to see the ones that they want you to see. And all the other BS that you have to stomach just to watch the show. There are other autions out there that are just as enjoying to watch without all the drama & stigma associated with it, like RM Auctions, Gooding & Company, Russo and Steele & the biggest one now is Mecum Auctions that's always on the Velocity channel. That's my 2¢ worth.

Texjake I agree with you except the commercials arent every 15 minutes it seems to me like they are every 5 or 6 minutes. I used to tape PVR it so I could skip through the comercials but the last few years it seems everytime a car gets hammered down there is 3/5 minutes of commercials.
