Re: Drip rail deflectors

Whats going on Timm, my favorate trick for installing tops is NICE AND SLOW.

I take my top off May til late Oct every year because of our great weather and every time I put it back on........ its different each time (espically after complete top restoration).

Go slow and you will be fine.

After dinner I`ll take some pics of the driprail reflectors if someone else has not posted them already.

Re: Drip rail deflectors

Besides how you bolt them (single vs double) to the truck, and 100 pounds I believe the install would be the same.

My black top is a double wall, maybe its the pictures that are messen with ya. Reflector pics coming. Nick

Re: Drip rail deflectors

Did you add the interior lights your self? I thought double walls didn't have lights.

Re: Drip rail deflectors

Sorry Timm, feel asleep on the couch, had a two day out of town trip and I just got home!! Been thinking about how I left you hanging the whole time.

Double wall tops have normally one light, I have asked around here before and no one (that answered) had ever saw a double wall with two lights???

I have inspected the top very well (espically during the resto) and I did not see any patches of holes or anything that would indicate someone added the 2nd light. Nick

Re: Drip rail deflectors

My double wall has no Lights at all. I got ripped off. Lol. If the top has been off awhile I've had the a pillar sag a little and had To Put Pressure Against the back to Line up The holes to Get It bolted Up. I start with the front windshield bolts First then start from the rear and work my way forward on the bolts in the top. The hardest ones for me are the two right behind the doors.

Re: Drip rail deflectors

Double walls never had the dome lights. They must have been added.
