New to the site, check out my ride : )
This site is the best, Thought I would share my rig with you guys The first 2 pics are 37s on a 8" lift, then I went down to 35s on a 6" lift, and now it sits at 33s with a 5" lift.

WELCOME ALBSURE, this is a fantastic site for information, parts and great people. Glad you found it!!
Like the rig for sure, do not know how long you have had it, but I get the impression not that long. I like you have already started a BIG project!! Good luck and keep the pictures coming. Nick

Great looking - looks good at all different lift and tire sizes you posted. Which combo did/do you like the best?

Re: New to the site, check out my ride : )
Thanks for the compliments. I've owned this truck for 3years..I would say the best look is the 5" on 33s. The reason I say that is because I'm a short guy and it's easy for me to get in and out of. Another benefit is the performance, best way I can describe it is it seemed lighter and quicker. The truck sits in primer, I have yet to finish the bodywork on the hood, tailgate, and doors, what color should I go? Thinking of doing a light blue, something along the lines of baby blue. I'm having trouble uploading pics from my phone I will post more as soon as I figure it out.
Break Down: 406ci sbc Th350 w/Hughes torque converter 373 gears with auburn pozi front and back Wheels are Weld Stone crushers 15/12 Tires are super swamper tsl/sx 33/15.5/15 Stay tuned. |

Re: New to the site, check out my ride : )
Real nice truck, thanks for sharing, I like it best with the 37's but I am crazy just went from 38.5's to 40's on my truck, but then again I have a hard enough time getting in and am 6ft. being short wouldn't help. There are steps available. Light blue may be a real nice color for it. Cool rims. Keep posting 4x4's are my fav.
Mudman.

I just like the 37" tire size and lift, but overall I do like the rim width and Swampers better as a tire. they look good being so wide. Cool truck how ever you look at it.

I agree. The 35s I had were the widest. They measured 18.5" in width

Re: New to the site, check out my ride : )
The one thing about a smaller tire is wheel speed and less weight. Going bigger takes a lot more to turn and makes it a higher gear ratio, more highway friendly but less town. Bet the 33's really rip in the sand.

Re: New to the site, check out my ride : )
Nice lookin truck before and after. The 33s look too small to Me though. I'm running 5 inch lift and 35x12.5 on mine and think its Perfect. 37s are pushing it on stock axles. I broke two rears On 35s so went 3/4 ton and now haven't had a problem except breaking a Detroit In the rear. I went with true blue color On mine which is just Slightly darker than the stock baby Blue color or Sky blue color it Was stock.

It's in between baby blue and the color yours is in the first pics. Let me look and see if I can post something here.
