Re: power steering box bolt size help!!!!

It's been a long time since I have dealt with a steering box newer than '80, but as far as I know they should be 7/16"-14, just the fittings are Metric. No one has ever comlained about the bolts I supply with my steering box adapter plate. I can check a box at the shop tomorrow. If they do happen to be Metric, they are probably M12-1.25 or 11mm (don't remember the pitch).

Re: power steering box bolt size help!!!!

They are 7/16-14. Not to butt in but I had a box laying on the bench.

It's not uncommon for those "cross-over to metric" years ( about 1979 thru 1986)to have both types of fasteners. even up into the '90's on the engines, still use mostly SAE threads on the blocks.
