I was also able to get the heater lines done. I covered them with a nylon mesh used for covering electrical wires and cables, then used heat shrink tubing to keep it in place.

I will be re-doing the shrink tubing on a couple of the ends to make them more uniform and cover the complete crimped end. I'm also thinking of painting the fitting a flat black too. This was all done to make it look a little more custom and have somthing besides plain black hose. What do you think?

Outstanding work...as usual. I really like the mesh covering but even more important is that it'll provide some protection. And every little bit of that will help since you're running them through the wheel wells, right? Maybe I missed a detail but HOW are you securing the lines up over the tires securely?

Thanks Dan! My plan is to make some simple L brackets that will attached to the fender to fender wheel bolts, and use adel clamps and zip ties. I'll be sure to post pics when I make the AC lines and have them all in place.

My only comment is that zips ties come in a couple of materials. I may be misstating this but I think the cheaper, more brittle ones are PVC and the better ones are nylon. I've never had any issue with the cheapo ones I buy from Costco or Harbor Freight, but for something as important as your application I'd check into which will hold most reliably.

Very slow and carefully with a couple small bottles. It was a little bit of a challenge, but worth it, and its not something that has to be changed very often.

Truck is looking great. I like the details, very professional. Seems like once you look at aviation methods, nothing else looks as professional. Heater hoses look very good.

ChuckDriver where did you get the round ac vents from that you put in your dash? Also where did you get your dash switches from, I am looking for some for my dash. Thank you

The round AC vents came from Vintage Air. The headlight switch came with the wiring harness, the wiper switch came with the motor from Brother's, and the ignition switch is the original from GM!

Thanks for the info! my dash did not have any switches or heater control with it, so I have been looking around for sum or other options.

Well it's been a while since my last update, but I've finally made some progress!

I was able to finish all of the AC lines, mount the drier and get the tri-nary switch wiring run. Also got the lines secured to the L-brackets bolted to the fender/fender well bolts.

My AC guy charged it with dry nitrogen to 110 psi, we'll check that hopefully Tuesday to ensure we have no leaks, then charge it with 134!!

Are you using the nitrogen for a drying agent or just pressure testing?
How long will it stay in a vacuum, did you evac. after the nitrogen charge?
