Earl, looks neat but I would have been alittle worried if the cowl area and windshield post were black

Earl. It looks great. Ive been thinkin about doin that with my step. Did you use all the blazer reinforcements on the cab, or build em from scratch?

Hey pp how you doing.....No, nothing from a blazer was used. Everything is from pickups. I got a blazer w/s frame-cowl/firewall assembly from junkyardjohn a while back but still don't for sure if I will use it. It is in pretty good shape so I very well may use it at sometime.

Hey Earl, same ol deal, either got time or money, never both. Any structural issues with cuttin off the top? Did you need to reinforce anywhere. My roofs shot, so maybe . After all, I live in So Cal. Also curious as to how you built top of the windhield without blazer parts. Glad to see you get a bit of a break before Daytona gets you runnin around again.

Just a short break....NASCAR apporved new rules changes for the cup and busch cars so everyone is a-holes and elbos right now til about Daytona time.
Nothing structural. I just cut along the under side of the drip rail on the outside and about half an inch up from the where the roof starts on the inside. Nothin fancy, really just playing around for the moment. The w/s really needs to be shortened to look right, and maybe laid back just a little. I'll experiment with it and see what you think. I'm not very familar with blazers, but it seems to me the structure support is at the rocker boxes on the blazers. Maybe some of the blazer experts could speak on this. I'll probably put it together and drive it this summer and see what it needs to stay together... |
