Today was a good day...

A good day for a ride! Last week the "polar vortex" had temps here in the single digits... Today it was in the mid 50's, sunny without a bit of wind. Way to nice to stay inside... I used the truck to haul my bike to Chattanooga to ride around awhile. The truck hasn't been washed in months... I took a couple shots with my lil' point & shoot. I hope you dig em.

With all the tagging on that building, you're lucky you didn't get mugged for Bike, camera and truck.Does not look like a safe neighborhood.Glad you had the weather and time to get out.

Polar Vortex indeed. I'm glad it's gone.
Red still looks great Asa. I'm glad you haven't changed anything.

Thanks guys!

Just a BTW... This past December 27th made 10 years that I've been caretaker of this pickup.
And I'm right at a year and about 4k miles with my LS swap.

Re: Today was a good day...

Yep,lookin' good on the 4-wheeler and 2-wheeler. Thanks for posting. We've had most of a year's worth of weather this week,ya think?

Friday/Jan 2nd was a mild day,in the evening about 6" of snow, temp dropped to 5 by morning, then gradually warmed up by Sunday it was 44 all day and all night! You could hear the snow melting in the gutters all night. Monday temps dropped till Tuesday morning 2 degrees! Temps climbed their way up by end of week till close to 70 Saturday but over 2" of rain. Now today in the 50s and sunny. Nice winter day! What's next?

IMO the grafitti "artists" arent the ones you have to worry about. Dont get me wrong, i wouldnt be there after dark!

Here is the latest "trend" in Austin, where I work. Sad.

I'd be glad just to take mine out for a cruise, 3 more months yet before snow is gone.

Re: Today was a good day...

I think that graffiti is more railroad related...Chatanooga Choo Choo. Great pictures to show the area. You got the river, too. There are less industrial aspects to the area as well. Lots of history, especially the big Civil War battle that took place there.

Asa has the eye and skill to catch what he's after in a photo...proven once again

Looking good, Asa. I wish I could have got my truck out, but I have the bed unbolted to refinish the wood.

LoL! The truck actually came with the mudflaps/splash guards. I had one break off about a year ago. Since I'd kinda got used to having them, I decided to look for some replacements. The prices were just crazy! I'd about decided to just ditch the other 3. Then one day 2 of my friends and I were headed to the dragstrip and passed a yard sale at a nice house that had a bunch of "man" stuff... tools, toolboxes, bikes, fishing rods. We turned around and went back... the guy had some identical mudflaps still in their original pack... I gave him $1 for em! LoL!

They're not everyones taste... but they sure do help keep the truck clean and protected!
