Cab&chassis rear end question.
Is there a wide factory C&C rearend verse the narrow. I am told that there was/is a Wide Dana 70 that could have come in the C&C trucks. I have been under the impression that all C&C trucks were the narrow rearends.
If this was an option then what would be the option code and would this have been on a truck built for a particular use? Wrecker or something not the norm.

Re: Cab&chassis rear end question.
He said that on the SPID it says "wide pickup". I am seeing if he can get me the RPO code now.

Re: Cab&chassis rear end question.
Remember, cab and chassis trucks could be either dual wheels or single wheels. Sounds like you might be looking at a single wheel model rearend.

Re: Cab&chassis rear end question.
This has the dual rearend underneath it. He states that it is 73.5 WMS. Not sure if his statement is accurate but just another piece of these trucks I curious about.

Re: Cab&chassis rear end question.
Dual wheel cab and chassis trucks used 14 bolts. Dual wheel pickups used Danas. Sounds like youre dealing with a dually pickup rearend.
Maybe Keith Seymore can offer up the possibility of someone deleting the bed when ordering a dually pickup which would be a round about way of arriving at a cab and chassis with the wide rearend.

Re: Cab&chassis rear end question.
I believe this could be done at the dealership level also, least wide utility bodies could be had new...
I'm also curious...

from what i remember you had c&c that had the skinnier rear and a box delete option which had the wide rear.
