Got a few things done

I got the LSx engine in and cleaned the firewall and then shot a little clear on it. Started to remove the right fron suspension and clean the control arms up and install new bushings and ball joints. These are the prothane bushing from a site vendor. They are a little tough to install.

Re: Got a few things done

Well after a lot of work, and the scaring the crap out of my self, the passanger side controll arms are rebuilt and installed. I had the low arm jump out of the press!! The bushings are no fun to do, as many have said before. I came up on a set of old school 3" drop beltech spindles and I am cleaning them up for the install. Now i am on the hunt for some drop springs and I may cut half a coil on the stock spring to get it back on the ground.

Does any one know the weight comparison of the old 350 sbc to the LSx 4.8L? Is there much? I only ask because ride hight. My wife is getting more interested in my project to and jokes I may have to schedule my driving time with hers. LOL.
