I would consider going to 16",which is actually older school than 16.5,and there are plenty of (actually more) choices in old school mud & snows. The 16.5 size came about in the "Wide Oval"/road hugger era to give a lower profile/wider section & tread width profile,which is contrary to what any 4wd would want. The larger/taller 12.00 series made a good 4wd tire for flotation (at about 32"),but for snow you want a narrower/taller profile. These give the traditional 4wd look as well,such as seen on NAPCOs and 60-66s...actually most stock 67/72s as well. 7.50-16 was the common size,which if going radial is closest to a 235/85-16. Check into those sizes and you'll find they're available in about any mud & snow you run across.
