A question about lowering my truck

I have a 71 c10 I just put new tires on 235/75-15s and I'm wanting to lower it soon 3" up front and 5" in the back.. I'm just wondering if these tires will still fit fine...

Thanks.. Zach

Re: A question about lowering my truck

I have 215/70r15 on the front and 255/70r15 on the rear of my 68 and it is lowered 5 1/2+ inches in the front and 5 inches in the rear and clear with no problems. So the rear will be good but if you have an issue it will be up front. I would think they would be ok but just not sure.

I run 255 60 R17's on front with 2.5 in drop spindles and 1 in drop springs in front and 285 60 R17's rear with 4 in drop springs. Those fit so there will be no problems with a 15 in wheel and tire.

Re: A question about lowering my truck

You didn't mention what width wheel your running or how you were going to lower 3", but don't forget to take your wheel back spacing into account when lowering. 4.25" or more backspacing can rub your LCA and tie rod end when lowering with lowering spindle. Do more research, but it depends on the kit you buy.

I have a CPP 3/4 spring drop on my 72 step (profile pic). I am running 15x8 rallys with 275/60/15 all around. No issues anywhere
