Gauge Needle Paint - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I know this has come up before but I can't find my notes on it. What paint do you use to paint the gauge needles? I have used a Testors Flouresent Red Paint marker (basically a magic marker with paint) and it worked ok but I think a spray paint would work better. I am getting ready to marry my gauges with a tach cluster I picked up and need to re-do a few needles. Thanks.

I used exactly the same stuff. There is an orange and a red-orange. I used the red orange and it looks real close to the original.

Thanks guys. I will go looking for it. I would guess between Home Depot, Lowe's, and Walmart I should be able to find it. Thanks again.

I use Testors Model Master Flourescent Red. It's an exact match! You can get it at any hobby shop in brush application, and maybe spray too. Cost me maybe $2 for a 1/2 oz bottle.
