I used to work for Roadway a long time ago. Have not used them in a long time. But worth a shot

Hi Dave
I just bought a 67 283 engine and 3 speed OD tranny from a board member in PA. I didn't check out freight but I plan to rent a minivan for $45 a day with unlimited mileage and take off on the 15 - 16 hour drive one way. Figured I could get by for under $100 rent and hopefully $100 gas and two days of my time on the road. Even with a motel stop it shouldn't be to bad and I would be eating out somewhere back at home anyway. Besides I hope to have the engine brought home totally complete and undamaged this way and I can see the truck it came out of and meet another great board member. This site rocks!.
Where are you needing this motor picked up and delivered to as I am going down I-80 from central Nebraska to western PA in a couple of weeks?

Mark

I just got a tailgate from Tom Korinek via Conway. He did a great job packing it and Conway did a great job delivering it.

Mark [/B][/QUOTE]

I'm in the sothern part of NJ and the engine & parts need to go to central Illinois around Peoria. If you feel like paying for Whole trip come another 4-5 hours west and get this stuff. I'm sure the guy is willing to pay decent money to get it to Ill. :-) .
I don't think the old minivan is quite up to a double engine task though. Better break in that new Cummins.DAVE

Dave I was hoping the engine needed moved eastward on the empty run. The Cummins is the option but I hate to double my current mileage adding another 2000 miles on my newGDYR MTR tires and the break in. Mark

I use AIT Logistics to ship race engines across the country. It's pretty expensive for next day air but I'm pretty sure they have trucking options. Here's the link: http://www.aitworldwide.com/Section/...icServices.asp
They're damn good. Every engine with out a scrape on the packaging.
