Re: 1967-1972 am radio
Yes it is. If you decide to buy it you can send a $50 paypal payment to rnmcole@msn.com or you could send a Western Union wire transfer or a U.S. Postal money order to Robert Cole P.O. Box 3024 Arizona City, Az. 85123. Thanks in advance

Robert,
I understand you can not test this. Can you confirm the the on/off/volume knob clicks on and off, the adjustment knob turns the dial and the push buttons work. If it functions normally as above I will take it. Thank you, Bruce |

Re: 1967-1972 am radio
Bruce, I just checked it. The on-off button works smoothly, the orange dial indicator works smoothly for changing stations. The buttons pull out and push back in to set the stations but do not set the stations. The first button pulls put but does not go back without several trys. So I would say the button function is the only problem other than not being tested.

It is a very nice looking radio. Does anybody have black knobs? I would be willing to buy or trade. Bruce

Re: 1967-1972 am radio
"May" have some standard black knobs. Will have to check the parts stash. Will get back to you later this evening.
Found the black " standard " radio knobs. Nice shape, no cracks or splits. Interested in a straight across trade, I ship mine, you ship yours? Let me know. Can do pics if need by.

Re: 1967-1972 am radio
Robert,
Good evening. Good news-radio made it. Bad news USPS gave the box a nice WHAMO. Newspaper packing could not prevent the station adj from breaking. Hit hard enough it bent the stem also. Was the package insured? Do not know exactly what to do. Let me know what you think, Bruce |

Re: 1967-1972 am radio
Bruce, whoever handled that package must of slammed that pretty hard to do that kind of damage. I have used wadded up paper for padding before and never had damages like that. Priority mail is insured for $50, I will check with the Post Office tomorrow and see what needs to be done to make it right. Sorry for the hassle. Bob

Re: 1967-1972 am radio
I will speak with the local PO as well. The box has evidence of a significant event in the corner next to the knob/stem. I will bring the box/packaging/radio to the PO to make a case. Thank you for your help, Bruce
