diverter box, help
still having problems getting air to blow out the defrost vents and not the air vents, I am going to check the diverter box next, is this where I should check? can I get it apart without taking glove box out again? anyone got pictures of what I will find inside diverter box and how to repair it? thanks

the diverter box has one moving part it either works or doesnt i found it easier just to replace with a new one from lmc

Do like I did. Just take the flapper door out and leave the shaft. Air will come out all vents on heat or AC. Defrost still works as always. Works fine for me. You have to leave the shaft so the compressor switch will stii work.

The flapper door cracks where it is attached to the shaft. The door is just plastic and will break with age and use. I have heard of people repairing the door with a fiberglass repair kit, it supposedly works pretty good and is much stronger than a new one.

I was able to fix mine by soldering a couple of "U" brackets to the steel rod and then using pop rivits through the arms of the "U" through the plastic door. Works great. Won't break.
