Re: 1972 4x4 frame off build
Thanks man...its been fun throughout the entire process...have definitely learned a lot and had a lot of "bugs" to work through, especially with the air ride suspension, but it is all worth it!

Re: 1972 4x4 frame off build
My buddy and I came up with this fully custom kit...complete 5 link set up front and rear onboard air compressor and tank...uses peterbilt drop axle air bags and load levelers...running about 8-10" lift...you could make it a four corner adjustable system with a air control unit... that's not what I wanted...the load levelers will compensate for any load and keep it at the specified height I have it set at...also has a custom mount sway bar up front to help with the "roll" that it had...rides like a dream!...

Re: 1972 4x4 frame off build
37/13.5/r20...could very easily fit bigger but that is big enough for me...lift could be way more too the bags are only at about 1/3 of their potential...but then you run into drive line issues and such...and keep in mind I'm only 1/2 ton too!...built it for a show/street truck...no drag racing or mudding for me...just wanted a nice driver so it is turning out to be just what I wanted...may not be everyone's cup of tea and that's fine by me...I had 6" all spring lift on it before the air ride with the 37's...a little stuffed but they fit...
