More air will not hurt anything, don't take any more advice from who ever told you that. I'm going to run mine to a box behind the headlights because right now it's sucking hot air from the engine which doesn't help. I'll get a few pics for you this afternoon. PM me your email and I'll send them there.

Yes they have. It would look a lot better with more lift or less tire and non hacked fenders. Just my .02.

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs

Nearly 5 years and this thread is still going strong, love it. I suppose I'll throw my hat in the ring.first of all, I should probably thank you all for inspiring me to go out and get a crew of my own, in turn causing my family and friends to hate me due to my incessant ramblings about said crew . Anyways, Here's my 79 Chevy 1ton (it's actually a rebadged gmc. But Chevy k30 sounds way better than gmc tk3 like the ownership says). As it sits right now it's got a 350 cubic inch boat anchor under the hood, but I just went and picked up a 2002 lm7 with 68,000 km's today. So once I clean it up and give it a fresh coat of paint, along with a cam and some headers, it'll settle in nicely with the 4l80. Maybe I'll even do an ls swap thread of my own y'all will have to forgive me as pics are limited, but I'll post more as I get em

Here's a done up crew cab advertised by Van Masters. This ad was in the 1979 Chevrolet silver book for dealerships.
