Restoration process

I'm in the middle of a restoration project and need your guys opinion on the proper steps. I currently have the truck disassembled and stripped. It's at the painter now getting primed before I start on body work. My question is after the body work do I assemble the truck together to get the gaps right before it goes back to the painter? If so does the painter disassemble it again to paint the edges then reassemble to spray the final coat? I'm going to paint the frame and I don't want it damaged during disassemble and reassemble. What are the proper steps? I need your guys expertice on this. Thanks

The painter will do whatever you want if you pay him enough.. id get the truck back and finish the body work. If you are already having it primed im guessing all the rust work and dents have been pulled and you only need high build primer and a guide coat to block the truck out straight. Then id spray an epoxy primer to seal everything and give it to your painter assembled..

I got the body shop to put everything in primer with paint on the interior of the cab, inside the fenders and firewall. I wanted to do the assembly. I might be a little more picky with the alignment and I can still say "I built it". It takes allot of time and some walking away to get it just the way "You" want it.
Nobody is going to know your truck better than you.
