Reproduction bed sides

I am looking to purchase a reproduction swb fleetside bedside. I have a drivers side from early classic and I am happy with it and now am looking for a passenger side. Early classic is a 6 hr round trip drive for me and will take 1-2 weeks to get, there is a shop in Rancho Cordova called super muscle parts that can have one in a couple days for the same price and is under an hour from me. My question is does the quality of these differ from manufacturer or all they all built overseas by the same factory?

Thanks

Re: Reproduction bed sides

I think these is only 1 company making these. I would wait for either Turlock or Pleasanton swap meets and get it there a whole lot cheaper

Re: Reproduction bed sides

I have heard that there is only one maker, is that a fact? When is the next swap meet and how much does a bedside go for there?

Re: Reproduction bed sides

I think they are all made by Tri-Plus. I have a Tri-Plus passenger side one that I put on my truck, and I am happy with it.

Re: Reproduction bed sides

I'm glad I can finally contribute to one of these threads! I just put a complete bed together this weekend. The boxes say dynacorn but who knows who makes them. All I can say is the fit is ok. The 1/4" header panel gap at the bed side drives me nuts and I see no way of fixing it easily. To maintain my gap for wood I'm un able to raise the panel. One bedside was nice and the others wasn't real nice (why I don't know) but they were stamped different and one of the two bed sides wasn't drilled for my rear sill. They are nice and heavily constructed. They go together but will need a little finesse. I would absolutely buy another even with the minor problems. It's very straight and 100% rust free, wish I could say the same about the cab. Hope this helps, feel free to ask any questions. I paid $500 each from a local shop.
