Re: Drppdblazrs sfbd 79 k5
Got the panel all done and moved on to the rear floor area. Got most of the 1x1 floor skeleton done. Still need to add some more braces and also widen t aroun the notch area some more. It's not welded to the body at all yet gonna pull it out and fully weld it and the. Get it back in to weld permenently to the body. Back seat ended up getting moved up and forward a couple inches. Once I get the wheel tubs in there I'll know where to widen the floor skeleton to and go from there.
Just wanted to test fit the seat one last time |

Re: Drppdblazrs sfbd 79 k5
Got some more work in on the floor skeleton, got both wheel tubs in place and extended the skeleton out to the tubs. Couple peices still need added and more crossbracing...but you get where its going. Next ill get the tubs welded in and extend the bottoms to the floor. Let me know what you guys think. (dont mind the solo shock there)
And now for a couple bonus exterior pics... |

Looks awesome. I really like the fact that you are keeping the factory rear seat.

Re: Drppdblazrs sfbd 79 k5
Holy cow it's been more then a year since I e posted on here... Lots of works been done to the blazer since then... Kinda stopped the whole forum thing cause it's such a pain in the ass to post pics. Copy paste copy paste from photobucket.. If only there was an easy way to just post pics from your cell phone to your page there would probably be so many more people in forums. Kinda seems it's still stuck back in the early internet days rather then evolving with the technology.. Just my two cents and rant on why I don't do forums anymore.

Re: Drppdblazrs sfbd 79 k5
Too bad for this thread to die out because of the pain of uploading pictures. Is that fixed yet? It's gotta be possible straight from cell phone now, right? I'm new on here and haven't loaded any pix that weren't already on my laptop.
Whatever the case, thoroughly enjoyed seeing the fabrication and process. And I'm the type that's pretty committed to just having my tires touch the ground. Good job Drppd. Your thinking and skills were fun to watch in this build. |
