Under Bed Tool Box

I was crusin' CL and came across this toolbox. The seller claims that it fits 68-72 C10s. Can anyone confirm this? Has anyone installed one of these onto a truck that did not have one factory?

That's not for 67-72 Chevy/GMC.

. . . .

Looks like it might be from a '76 Ford
( maybe a different year, because the inside ridges are a little different )

Re: Under Bed Tool Box

I just got an email from the seller. He said that it would not fit my c10 and that it is supposed to be mounted exposed under the bed.

That edge across the front seems to be a sharper angle, like this '68 Ford:

Re: Under Bed Tool Box

It looks like an in bed to me too. His answer confused me a little.

That big, single ridge in the inside of the box ought to tell us what it is.

Someone will know !!!

Below, is another '68 Ford . . . with a ridge on TOP.

. . . .

The white door from the original Craigslist ad isn't attached to that box.

You can see the holes for the double hinge screws on the other side of the box.

I think they just laid it up against it, upside-down !!!

Re: Under Bed Tool Box

My vote is Ford too, although I have nothing but the previous pictures to go by. One thing for certain though, I can't imagine that hanging under the bed. The edges aren't finished for that type of installation, and I think it would look a little strange just hanging out in space there. Just my .02.
