Auto column had the long solid shaft.
All of my 3 speed column shift trucks have a removable intermediate shaft between the column and the steering box. That's the one you have to collapse and use when you go to a van tilt. Skokie, I'm at the station today, so I can't post pics, but tomorrow I can post whatever you need. I'm right in the middle of installing a tilt in my truck. I'll get it bolted in tomorrow or the next day.

Tx Firefighter
Its not a van tilt. Its a tilt from a 70-72. No extra long shaft to worry about Post pics when you can. No rush. Hows that tilt coming btw? Post up some pics on that to. So I can see what I am about to get myself into
