$300 Later...
This little 283 found a new home in my garage. Rebuilt, bored .030 over, broken in with 20k miles, Edelbrock 4bbl with Weiand aluminum intake. Future swap into my C20 after found a crack in the block of the current 283. Never mind the "350" on the valve covers. There off the crate 350 the PO just swapped into his hot rod.
Could've went bigger, 327 or 350, but couldn't pass it up for the price and condition. Happy, happy, happy.

I like 283s they are very good little motors ! They dont have a lot of low end torque but they rev up good and I think just cool to say you have one ! Great deal too !

Great buy! $300 carburetor and they threw in a small block with an aluminum intake!
