Gauge install in 48 Chevy?
I just picked up a nice set of 5" dolphin gauges that I would like to install in my truck and noticed that they are a little smaller than the stock holes in the dash. The original gauges have the chrome ring to install the gauges but is there an adapter available to install these new gauges in the stock dash? Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Gauge install in 48 Chevy?
Thanks. Did you then just remove the glass from the dolphin gauges and purchase the new bezels, glass, and o ring for stock 48 replacement? Any pics of yours done?

Re: Gauge install in 48 Chevy?
No just mount the bezel in the opening of the dash then slide your whole dolphin gauge through the bezel.....The bezel acts as a spacer hope that makes sense works great you bolt the bezel in your dash just like it was originally then slide the Dolphin gauge through the bezel and use the clamps that came with the gauges they will hook/grab to the back side of the bezel may have to bend the clamps a little so they grab. yes I have some pic's I could send you pm me your email as I do not know how to post pics

Re: Gauge install in 48 Chevy?
Beartrap you will need these to install them. Attaches your new gauges to the stock dash. I can try and take some pics tomorrow to show you how these fit on back of gauges.

Re: Gauge install in 48 Chevy?
I just bought a set of Dolphins on Ebay and was pleasantly surprised to see that the seller included the adapter rings at no extra charge:

Re: Gauge install in 48 Chevy?
Thanks for posting the link. I added the guy to my watch list. Do these gauges come with built in signal and high beam light?
